Why LiSA Literacy Project?
Because LiSA Literacy Project is essential. Most people today don’t have even the most basic understanding of how money works. It’s not a subject taught in schools. It’s rarely discussed in the home. As a result, many people find themselves ill prepared to handle their personal finances.
LiSA Initiative believes a financial education is the right of all Americans. We’ve committed our time, energy and resources to push financial knowledge to the people who need and want it.
One of the ways we’re accomplishing this goal is through our LiSA Literacy Project. This innovative financial literacy campaign provides financial education for adults and children.
At the heart of LiSA Literacy Project is its private-labeled curriculum developed in partnership with the National Financial Educators Council (NFEC). The curriculum is nationally certified for schools, churches, and other organizations. There are two tracks available – one for adults and another one for students, pre-K through high school.
LiSA Initiative maintains a Financial Literacy library on this website. Check out the LiSA Journal tab where you’ll find articles, speeches, statistics, short films, as well as free online courses and resources.
